This .......this is actually not so bad. As long as MacArther is likely done with hockey due to his concussions. He'd end up just being a LTIR casualty like Savard or Pronger and not cost the Ava anything since the insurance would pick up most of his salary and his cap won't be there either.

What dot he Avs want? A young potential top pairing dman. Chabot fits the mold. Dzingel who is turning some heads this year so its a nice add. They lose Duchene but also get rid of Beauchemins NMC that they would have to protect. Siemens has little value so is basically a throw in.

Does Ottawa want to do this? I'm somewhat skeptical but adding Duchene is a huge boost to their top 6 and Beauch can serve mightily with less minutes. If their goal is to go somewhat all in, this isn't all that bad. Personally I don't think the fit is right so I would decline if I were Ottawa but this at least is interesting to talk about.
