Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Jets protect Scheifele, Ehlers, Connor, Wheeler, Dubois, Lowry, Copp, Morrissey, Pionk, Stanley and Hellebuyck. Expose Appleton and DeMelo. DeMelo gets taken.

Switching Ehlers and Wheeler was purposeful. I like the way Scheifele plays better when he is with Ehlers and Dubois was most effective when he was playing with Wheeler.

I would be disappointed but not surprised if the Jets protected DeMelo over Stanley.

I like DeMelo and think he plays well for his cap hit, but I def wild rather keep Tree over him. I say toss a 3rd and Niku and see if they bite

Jets moved up in the draft to get Stanley and since Stanley is 6'7" he has a higher ceiling than DeMelo

. DeMelo is fortunate that WPG does not have 2 Top 4 RHD otherwise he would be on the 3rd pairing. And at $3 mil pretty expensive 3rd pairing. This being said WPG still needs to fill the #1 RHD spot but it would be after the expansion draft.

I think Seattle will take Appleton, DeMelo, or Berdin by themselves before Niku and a 3rd. Losing Appleton would be a bigger loss so I would try to convince Seattle to take DeMelo plus a pick or Harkins.
