Hall's very likely staying in Boston for a couple years minimum. I have a feeling he really likes it there. I reckon Holland's targeting Tatar given their history in Detroit but Saad is likely still on the radar.

There's negative incentive for Seattle to entertain any deal for Koskinen: there are better goaltenders available and Lagesson and what'll likely be a late 2nd probably aren't enough of an incentive to take him. They'll grab Lagesson and go about their business.

Dumping Koskinen in order to keep Smith makes no sense beyond sentiment. Mike's going to be 40 next season and had a poor track record leading into this season. He's captured lightning in a bottle but we cannot bet on it sticking around. I very much appreciate the magic he's brought this season, but the Oilers should not be bringing him back next year. Koskinen's a league-average goaltender that simply can't handle the majority of starts. He's fine in a tandem situation and with only a year left on his deal, he's tolerable.

I guarantee you if Holland has an inkling of Klefbom returning, Edmonton won't be bidders on Hamilton. There are rumours of a four year extension for Larsson in the works (god please be under $3.25M): unless they're foolishly planning on trading Bear or Bouchard in order to accommodate Barrie, there won't be a lot of overturn on the back end this offseason.

This is um, best case scenario? I understand that Hall and Hamilton are happy where they are, and Holland has no creativity. Trading Koskinen was really just to save a sliver of cap, I know Seattle (and most teams) probably have little interest. This is really a dreamers scenario

Great, it's not happening though.

In my eyes, best-case scenario probably means a top-six winger (Tatar) and Holland walking away from Barrie and Smith. Bar's on the floor, I know, but that's Oilers management in a nutshell.

Not trying to be a d*** but Kassian sucks. Not to mention that contract.

We'd need major retention or an incentivized return to take him on.
