Description

Trade 1: Unlikely because trades like this are so rare and I'm probably off on the values lol, but here's my thought process. Bishop for Shattenkirk is a wash because both teams will lose their current player this offseason, I would give Shattenkirk a slight edge in value over Bish. Bergy gives Tampa depth and he can walk after this season. Hutton serves as the new backup. Long term it's Johnson for Yak, Schmaltz, and a 1st.
Trade 2: Depth move for third line. NJ gets NHL ready D Man and pick

The problem is you can't have Bishop & Allen taking up that much salary going forward. A deal with Bishop would have to have Allen going the other way.

Bishop would serve as a rental for this year only and would walk in the offseason. Kinda like a bandaid if Allen can't figure it out this year. Going forward it's still Allens net as I doubt management will give up on him so quickly. A new backup would need to be signed for next year. Elliot maybe...

I'd keep Hutton and deal Allen somewhere else. I'd then extend Bishop.
