Jack Hughes is still the clear #1

Right now, i just don’t see it. I’m more liking what i see right now with Dach, plus his size add some value to his stock. This might change over the years and the coming of guys like Holtz. I tend to think Hughes junior career was greatly complimented by Caufield... back then, everyone thought it was the opposite but Caufield has thrived and broke records everywhere he played with or without Hughes.

Hughes is significantly better than Dach.

Caufield, Zegras, Turcotte, Boldy, York, Knight, etc...they benefited by being part of that team. No doubt.
It was one of the best group of juniors ever assembled.

But Hughes is far above everyone else from that draft class.
Hughes drives the game, draws more defensive attention, creates more opportunities, defends better...not sure what else can be asked of him
