Devils easily pass

Palms would be a great fit in CAR, but the price is definitely higher.

Devils fans, Geekie is a good prospect, and would fit into NJ right now. But he's not enough. Kill the original picks and pull Fast. Make it a first going to NJ, and add Gardiner. NJ gets a good prospect, a first and a decent offensive dman. CAR gets Palms and relief on Gardiner, who is not needed. Win / Win

What about Fast, Geekie and a 1st for Palms and a 3rd or 4th? That sound better?

Probably a 5th or 6th coming back instead of a 3/4, but if I'm you, I'd rather add Gardiner and clear the cap space. NJ has plenty of Fast type forwards and CAR has plenty of D depth.

Well I'd love to get rid of Gardiner, but my only worry is what it will cost. Hoping its not a 1st although that may be the reality. The thing is that we won't be able to sign Dougie and Svech if we don't trade Gardiner let alone sign just one of them at all.
