skjei has been the canes worst d man. francis said he will demand a high price to not take a player.
dougie is being signed for 6 years as opposed to 8 which will be better long run. 1 mil extra for 6 years or 8 mil extra for two.
let the kids play and watch them flourish. jarvy should be crazy on the second line and it is better to have zuke on the 3rd line than playing with 4th liners

I still won’t understand how polarizing Skjei is for people. He makes 1 mistake and he’s trash. However I don’t see anyone complaining about Fleury, who has actually been the Canes worst defender this year.

Despite the thoughts about Skjei, it still not worth it to pay a 1st. Better to just keep the pick - maybe they take Skjei anyway. Maybe we lose Bean. Or maybe you could use that First you want to gift Seattle and make them take Gardiner.
