Description
the iginla trade brings a presence in the room and a good leader it also helps with driving the net, getting to the dirty areas, and scoring some goals- the Beaulieu trade simply is a trade that i think will benefit now and later, adam lowry is a monster 2 way forward and on a line with iginla and shaw i think they'll be very effective, as for josh morrissey he is just as good as Beaulieu now and will be a top 4 defenceman in the future Logan Stanley is big and will also be a top 4 defenceman and is Sergachev's partner in windsor. Sergachev and morrissey in a couple years isn't a bad left side with Weber, Petry and stanley on the right side is pretty damn good- and David Desharnais is simply David Desharnais- oh this is only right now more moves could possibly happen at the deadline i'll post another one of these for the deadline

You're going to have to do better for value in the Beau - Morrissey trade: I doubt they'd want to trade Morrissey away at all (he's looking good and the team is a year or two from being ready to stab at a cup) Also realize that in this trade you have two 1st rounders (Morrissey and Logan, 13th and 18th overall respectively) for Beaulieu and a couple picks. Admittedly a 1st and 2nd add value but this trade doesn't add for the Jets (they don't need more picks and Beau for Morrissey just keeps the same problem of being weak on the left side) & it really isn't fair. I love Beau and think he's great but in reality you're not going to say he's much better if at all than Morrissey, they'd probable do a move for Beau - Lowry with picks coming to Montreal but it all depends on expansion.
I like Iggy for the reason you mentioned, really not sure how the value lands on that: retained cap shouldn't be a huge deal considering Colorado isn't strapped for it past this year. Basically if Iggy wanted to go I think the picks are close to fair.
DD i'd say just send down to AHL because no team will take that cap dump anyways - best case he is waived and can be used in playoffs if injuries occur.

Agreed the Habs would have to give more and from WPG perspective they have no real incentive to do the deal. They like Morrisey and I doubt they want to move him.
Iggy would be interesting and the value seems about right.
For the DD trade Arizona has to get a pick or prospect back for taking his cap hit for the rest of this season. Think a 2nd rounder or so if the Habs need the cap space.
I think GM MB will make some moves, he has a history of that.

I don't think the Avs will demand much back in a Ignlia trade. If the vet wants a Cup run, I'm thinking the Avs will oblige. Those other two trades are brutally in favour of the Habs. Habs might as well keep DD if they have the money. If the the Habs need Cap space, the Coyotes will oblige....Canadians sent a third rounder to the Arizona.
Stanley was a first round pick last year ....OK the Montreal 1st and Washington are about equal (though Jets won't to it. ) This leaves Beaulieu for Lowry and Morrissey. C'mon man.
