No it doesn't. Avs have Newhook coming, so there's literally no need for Turcotte.

Avs need to see more out of turcotte first, then i can see it. They have newhook coming yeah but they will be loosing Kadri and Saad, maybe even burakovski within 2 years. 2 young promising prospects would be a nice replacement. And with Helleson, Barron, Timmons being possible replacements with in 2-3 years... makes it a little easier to let go of Byram.

Losing players in UFA is a concern for every team. Trading young cornerstone defensemen for unproven centers isn't. We're not in a situation like Nashville and Columbus where they traded Jones and Johansen, and until we are, this doesn't make sense. If you want to talk trading Helleson, Timmins, or Barron? Sure, why not. But Byram isn't going anywhere.
