The Coyotes could get more for OEL and Hill


Anderson is a UFA so he is off the books. He is not bad he is injured. Dermott will be good if he gets an extended chance and is a cheap option and kerfoot is a good third line center. The problem is that OEL's contract is absolutely terrible and any trade would have Arizona retaining.

I think you are missing the point. He is not good anymore and still signed for 7 years. Nobody will want him at all...even retained. That is fine because Toronto would never offer anywhere close to that. Arizona will be begging teams to take him in a few years.

1- I didn't say it was. And I think he's always been a little overrrated. But I also think you're exaggerating how far he's slipped.

2- Well, I mean you said they'd be begging to get rid of him in a few years, and this is the trade you've suggested to keep them the calamity of keeping him... so it's a fairly stright line connecting the dots.

1. You are correct, but I am taking into consideration his contract and the drop-off in play the last 2 years. His AAV has to be taken into consideration as well. Take someone like Bogosian for example, he is good considering his low AAV, but it he was making a few mill more, then the same would apply to him.
2. I never suggested any trade. You're mixing me up with the original poster. I just said they wouldn't offer this anyway.
