As you just said, most teams dont have the cap to bring in Hall. This definitely plays to the advantage of the Islanders. I don't think it is necessary to trade away a 1st for a guy who is having a mediocre/average season. I don't care how weak/strong the draft class is if you can draft properly you will find good players. The Islanders already have a shallow prospect pool giving up a 1st round pick (even if it is late in the 1st is not necessary) They can go out and use the 2nd round picks they acquired from the Towes deal or their own to find someone who can fit what their needs.

I for one absolutely agrees. Not many of our fellow Islanders friends agrees with us. Dont get it, you should go for it when your window is open, and it clearly is. Sooner rather than later, many of our core players will be too old and have bad contracts.

I also think that people undervalue the fact that Lou would show Barry and the group that he believes were good enough to win it all. That will give some real moral boost into all the players. Im sure of it. People talk about messing with chemistry, but imagine being with a team that goes all-in to win, and a move like this cements that - ecstatic!

With 7 mil of capspace Lou have to do something big with our best forward and captain out.

Haha, that's pretty weird. I had him up on the first but I guess when I made some other adjustments to the team it put him down there.
