And you're all in is cap dumping a middle of the pack goalie that's playing his worst hockey in his career and his value can't be lower literally. Then trading literally your entire future for 2 guys that are unplaying right now. THEN on top of that trading for 2 vets that 1 is great but a past leaf and the other is meh.

I don't think that's great asset management

1. this isnt serious im mostly having fun but ...

2. youre overrating Freddie by calling him a middle of the pack guy. he isnt a young guy with term. Toronto needs to win NOW and Berniers playing gives them a much better chance over Freddie. Freddie has sucked for like 2 years now.

3. thats not the whole future. trades broken up could be Kerfoot + Amirov + first, and Ekholm for Dermott + Lilje + first. Anderson and that third arent very important futures and are there for the retention. you still have Robertson, Abruzzese, abramov, hallander, SDA, hirvonen, Miettinen and Ovchinikov who have all excelled after being drafted and all could feasibly have a chance to be some sort of NHLer. On D you have Sandin, Niemela, Hollowell, Kokkonen and Kral who are all developing nicely. I also made this with the mindset that Tor would sell of Reilly after the season, as they would have to leave an NHL dman exposed and he sucks at d. they would get some nice pieces for him

Wings accept, Leafs pass. Picks have to be in consecutive years they can't be 2 years apart it would've to be 2021 2nd round pick+2022 3rd round pick. A vast overpay by the Leafs but Detroit would gladly accept it.

1. Unless you put that you're joking no one will know unless its blatantly obvious.

2. Freddy while the team was trash was a top 10 vezina nominee. So you're right he's not middle of the pack he's above average. Also he's been battling injury (which I could've told you before it was announced that he's going to be out for a while recovering) He's been **** since covid which I think he had and wasn't announced. If he doesn't start playing better after coming back I'd be going with Campbell as my starter but if Freddy comes back and he's Freddy again then the NHL better look out for the Leafs.

3. I obviously didn't mean entire future I was just saying that's a lot to give up for a year and half of Forsberg and Ekholm (that may not fit our system) then 1 decent backup rental and a depth rental.
