Sorry for the Hague trade. Not sure what exactly what he is worth. Vegas does really need RD and that was the base of this trade. Oilers need LD. Both players are young and going to be good.

What are you talking about Jones our 2nd best defense man?????? Nurse, Larsson, Barrie, Lagesson and Bear are all better than him.
And what are you talking about someone worse??? Hague is a year younger and has a higher upside and already outplaying Bear. It is just a left for right trade.
Furthor more Barrie is not paid to be a defensive master. If he was with his offense, he would be making 8-9 million per season and would be comparible to Hedman

I agree that Barrie is awful defensively and we shouldn't resign him. Also agree that Bear is getting a whole lot of hate for no reason. He's an amazing puck mover, plays great defence and also has some offensive upside

But I can clearly see that your basing views solely on CF% and FF%. IMO there's a lot more to it. I look at that stat purely as a measuring stick for puck moving and transitional ability. Bear is great at stopping plays before they develop and moving the puck up ice. Similar with Jones, although using the elusive eye test, I don't see the same level of vision that Bear has. I think we should keep Lagesson over Jones, and Bear over Barrie

No, that trade was purely made to exchange a RD for a LD. It had nothing to do with corsi or any other stats. It was a trade in comparable players. Thats it
