Description
We have one of the best offenses in the league, if we can stay helthy, and easily one of the best Goaltending tandems but with the current state of the defense we won't win a cup.

You start off by buying out Girardi. I really appreciate what hes done in his career but he juts is not an NHLer anymore and has a horrible contract.

The you sign Shattenkirk to be Mac's new line mate and power play quarter back. 6 x 6.25

In expansion: we protect F: Nash, Miller, Stepan, Zuccarello, Hayes, Zibenejad, Kreider D: McDonagh, Shattenkirk, Staal G: Hank Exempt: Skjei, Vesey, Buchnevich. Vegas wil most likely then select Pirri or Klein. In this case I'm going with Klein but could go either way.

Resign , Zibenejad, Lindberg, Fast, etc.

Then flip Pirri for a third pairing D man. No real spot for him.

      100% right. Forgot about Kreider. Switch him and Grabner...

      IMO VGN will chose Grabner or Raanta, not Klein. Tambo is looking like a bust, no surprise.

      Ryan Graves will be a NYR out of training camp. He's come a long way in his development. Get rid of schenn, put graves on the 3rd pairing and make holden his partner

      if there is a trade window after the deadline and before the expansion draft i can see the rangers trading raanta before losing him for nothing
