I feel getting a young solid defenseman who is locked up with term would be a good add for a team selling at the deadline especially for a UfA

I get that. I would much rather wait till the offseason though, because then we wouldnt risk losing whatever we acquire to Seattle. Like I said, I rather not get a UFA.

The Sabres have better dmen and prospects winning spots on the roster currently. No reason to give up a pick and a depth forward they like to utilize and give up a return for Staal for a player they have no use for

I never said to trade dumo he’s just on IR you have to trade one of your defenseman making over 4 million. I don’t think they would be able to trade Matheson (he’s been playing solid recently tho so hopefully that changes). MP seems the most likely to go for a 3rd liner and picks
