Theres been a lot of speculation on here between Pit and Gibson. For people that aren't fans of either team. What would Gibson realistically be worth?
It obviously starts with jarry. a replacement starter who is relatively unproven but still has the "pedigree" to be a number 1.
Pit is flush on the left D so i see them putting in Petterson, a good middle pairing d man with a fair value contract. Same thing with McCann, he broke his scoring slump and then got hurt. Once healthy his contract isnt bad for a guy that can get you north of 30 points. I think this is a good basis, however the cap isnt balanced so i see ANA asking for additional picks to compensate lets say a second and a third. Seeing as goalies dont typically go for a lot, granted there arent any precedents that i can think of for an elite goalie with term. But i think this would work for Pit and be a haul for ANA which lets be honest, Gibson is the only reason they're not at the bottom of the league.
