While the overall value in the trade is fair, Anaheim would want a piece that helps them now (probably a winger) in any trade for Fowler. And the Carolina trade doesn't really help either team a whole lot. Good ideas though.

I felt Anaheim needed the cap space mostly since theyre right up there. But I agree it does not technically help them now...but might in the near future depending on Reinhard development (who stalled in EDM so far). I think Skinner for the Nuge is a fair trade in value for both teams. EDM gets a scorer and CAR gets a number 1-2 center until Lindholm breaks out (and they have Rask right now doing great). Filpula is really just for depth down the middle. TB dont really need him and they need the cap space too but the value is on EDM side (hence the 2 draft picks)
