Lines Against Montreal on Wednesday

Description
11F 7D is not a tactic that is ideal to begin with, and with Sabourin officially being on the roster I think he should get his shot. Third line seems ideal considering his style of game.

Idk the guy has just been called up and with Simmonds gone there aren't many other viable options. 11F and 7D worked just barely against Vancouver, so it sure as hell won't work against the absolute wagon that is currently Montreal.

And an AHL grinder is going to be a better option than Brooks, Anderson, or Engvall? The answer is no, not even remotely close.

They need him in against Montreal with Simmonds out.
Not sure if you remember the shots Chariot took at Matthews, and why he missed a game.
Needs to be taken care of.

And what, he's going to just arbitrarily challenge Weber and Chairot to fights and they'll accept? This isn't the 80's. The refs need to step in there and not let that happen. Cross checks infront happen and no one is going to stop Weber from doing it, but the refs need to draw a line at least at how much they are going to allow. Sabourin isn't going to deter anyone. Those two did the damage after Chairot fought Simmonds so how good was he at being a deterrent?

It still happens in today's game. If Chariot wants to cross check Matthews and try and hurt him he will have to awnser the bell.
Fights happen, Benn on Zadorov is a perfect example.
If toronto allows it to ahppen without any fight back, Matthews and Marner will get it more and more.
Your stance on fighting matches your love to Nylander

You are jumping to conclusions. I think if someone runs your stars there has to be a pushback, but keeping an AHL goon in the lineup who can't do anything doesn't deter anyone from anything. If they played Sabourin, I would 100% tell Chairot to give Matthews a cross-check in front. Sabourin will come flying in and drop the gloves and get an instigator penalty and then you have a PP. Or he'll take stupid penalties trying to get the Habs rattled. It doesn't work like that anymore. If you can't play a regular shift you just don't belong in the league. Sabourin isn't an NHL player. What I'd rather see is Matthews play really physical and hammer Weber and Chairot into the boards. Inspire the rest of the team to do the same. Hyman, JT, Vesey Mikheyev, everyone go and hit those two every chance you get and make them feel it. Having some goon run around and do nothing or play 3 minutes in the game hoping for a chance to fight is just nonsense

So you are thinking Matthews, Hyman, Vesey ( who is terrible ) or Mikheyev is going to hammer Chariot and Weber?????
That won;t happen!!!
The goon, who only plays 3 mins is fine, as he is your fourth line guy like a Barbanov who gets only 7 mins anyways.
Yes if you cheap shot a guy and have to fight a couple times is does deter a player from doing it again. It's not fun being puched in the head. Players are smart enough not to take an instigator now as well.
it's not like Sabourin is going to play the rest of the year, but they need his presence against Montreal for now even if that is on the bench.

Continue with your Nylander and soft play and we will see what 2021 brings.

This is why the Lefas brought in Simmonds, Bogo, Thorton, Sabourin to be tougher and bigger.
