Center fix

Description
Holland has shown offensive upside and due to a falling out with Babcock (and depth at center) becomes available - Not 100% what the Leafs needs are.

The lineup isn't what it would likely be - I want to see Byron at center with Radulov because they had chemistry before and that gives Lehoknen a play maker (Rad) to work with instead of Shaw. Holland lines up with Danault and Shaw so he doesn't have to take every single face-off and has defensive players with him to cover him. If he shows the offensive upside he had when he went to Toronto originally then he moves up to the 2nd line center and works with either Rad or Gally later on.

When DD gets back, I send him down to the minors to get the cap relief and hope to the hockey gods someone claims him off waivers, giving Holland the 3rd line center position.

Yeah haha Idk where his stock is in Toronto at this point - I remember them having the dilemma of playing him and burning a year in his contract. Now he can't crack the lineup, I feel like it's a player who isn't the style the coach wants and has depth in front of him. I'm sure the price will be the price, it may just be swap of players on a good day but because the Habs are rivals who are buying I doubt the price would be too far off of above.

Agree with LeafsFan. I don't think it so much Babcock and Holland conflict but just that Holland isn't NHL good enough except in short bursts.

Fair enough, is he DD not NHL good though? Just wondering if he actually would work out for the habs even in a short interval - saw an article today with him, Spooner, or RNH and I figured the later two were a bit too much to make happen. Spooner would cost a fortune from the bruins and RNH would just legit cost a lot for what he'd bring. I recognize leafs as another rival but I feel like they'd deal way easier here.
So for the thread purposes, is: Danault < Holland > Mitchell ?

I don't the Leafs are a rival this year, especially if it a good deal for the Leafs. Habs are going for the Cup the Leafs are trying and not likely going for the playoffs. Gotta think Holland is available for a modest price. Leafs don't want a player back but a modest 3rd rounder would be more than generous. And for Holland's sake, hope he turns into a NHLer again.
