Looks like Trotz is past his prime with Czarnik on PP1.

tbh I liked czarnik game tonight, but its funny how trotz will throw him on PP1 but refuses to put bellows or wahlstrom in that spot , when they can really use some shooting talent on the pp.

It's self inflicted. Playing ross and komarov, shortening the bench and giving wahltrom/bellows 8 min a night. Relying on the 4th line when they've been trash.

He's a 4th line energy guy, not a PP1 guy. And honestly, NYI has a ton of grinders already. Martin, Johnson, Clutterbuck, Cizikas (My favorite of the group), and Komarov. They need to add more scorers, Barzal can't do it all. I understand Nelson has been meh and Beauvillier is hurt, but depth wins championships in this league.

They also had a weird line up tonight. I thought overall for Czarnik played pretty well. He does have 122 NHL games played. I think we will see him or Dal Colle on the second line for the next few games, until Beau comes back. Line 3 will be JGP and the kids. Timashov looked shakey but I don't know really what to expect of him

I agree he’s not a PP1 guy, I actually think he can be a good 3rd line Rw - his underlying numbers were very good tonight. My point is trotz had two talented scorers in the lineup and he refuses to give them significant PP time because he hates young players.

I really liked czarniks game. I think he should be in over Dal Colle, although I did think MDC played a decent game as well. Just get wahlstrom and bellows back in the lineup...
