It's tough to tinker with a line up as deep as this years Habs. For example, I am not so sure I would send two draft picks for Brassard. Not that I don't like brassard but because Evans is playing so well and will get better. He is a positive plus/minus player. He plays 200 feet. His awareness is so good. Just in last nights game he picked off two passes by reading the play and setting up on the wall to intercept the pass. His faceoffs have improved. So I am not so sure I would make that trade.

Brassard? he isn't worth more than a 5th rounder at best.

Down the road this season, we are gonna need some veterans (especially at center) to help the young guns..
Danault is doing a fantastic job, but he's only 27. Suzuki 21 / KK 20 / Evans 24 .. and the next one on the depth chart is Poehling (22 yo).
We talk a lot about the depth of the Habs, but there's none at center, especially if there's an injury.

+ I love Byron and the job he does, but with the salary he makes, abondance of wingers, salary cap.. He has to be the odd man out..

Overpay for Brassard. COL traded a 3rd for him and a conditional 6th when he was younger. You should be able to get him for a lot less than that.
