That 1st is gonna be very good and Dahlen's stats are good but CBJ doesn't want futures in this deal. If this lasts to the deadline and CBJ is out of contention this makes some sense.

Thanks for the feedback. This isn’t a futures deal. Labanc is a now player with term. Under Torts he will quickly be a top 6 player. Dahlen is a now player also, just the Sharks are stacked with LW. The 1st gives CBJ a middle pick that will likely turn into an nhl player, as a sweetener.

It is a futures deal. You have 2 futures in it. Lebanc isn't a top 2 piece in this trade. The pick wont be middle it will be top 10 and it isn't a sweetener. Dahlen is the sweetener.

You’re just not correct. Labanc projects to be a mid 50 pt player that’s a PP quarterback. That’s easy top 6 winger. Not even debateable. Unless you want to go over to the athletic and tell Dom he’s wrong. He and PLD are the top 2 pieces in this deal. He has term, so he’s not going anywhere, and he’s not a prospect. Dahlen isn’t a prospect, per se, either. He will come in and immediately help CBJ in their bottom 6. A top 6 and a bottom 6 immediate impact trade is the definition of Not A Futures trade.

With PLD in the lineup on a daily basis, the Sharks are unlikely to be so bad as to draft in the top 10. They probably are barely inside of the top 10 right now and probably won’t be by the end of the season. Adding PLD ensures that.

They wanted an upgrade. Labanc wasn't an upgade. The pieces that put this deal over the top were the futures. Making this a futures deal. thinking Dahlen comes right in and has an impact would be wrong, thinking the pick will be mid is unlikely. Don't try to hide behind Dom.

Lolololol. The trade that just happened was only marginally better than this trade and included futures. Dahlen is projected to come in and make an immediate impact and is equitable in value to Roslavic. Literally almost the exact same projected numbers. Dahlen would have been better than any of Columbus bottom 6 at the time. To say he wouldn’t have made an immediate impact is intentional ignorance. Thinking the pick is going to be outside the top 10, if the Sharks managed to snag PLD, with one of the best top 6 in the West, is not only possible, but prudent. Thinking otherwise is pure insanity. Dom literally published the bounds of what a good top 6 looks like in the NHL. Guess what? Labanc falls well within those bound. Referencing an expert isn’t hiding, that is called providing evidence. Is what smart people do argue their points. Only stupid people provide their opinions as facts...

"Dahlen is projected to come in and make an immediate impact"

We traded him out of Utica because he was having issues within the team. He went to SJ and hasn't made the club in two years. Where is this projection and what does it amount to? He's 23 and hasn't played an NHL game. Don't just make up things and base your whole argument behind them. I know Dahlen's story, my team drafted him.

I also didn't read the rest of your thing because what's the point anymore.
