The defense has been terrible so far apart from Ferraro, and I would try shifting them around. Something like
Ferraro-Karlsson
Simek-Burns
Vlasic-Khnyzov

I also saw Meier with Kane and Hertl in the 3rd period last night and honestly its not a bad idea. You can have the top 2 lines be:
Kane-Hertl-Meier
Leonard/Donato-Couture-Labanc

The only issue (although they did fine together) is that kinda leaves Cooch on an island. Hertl could carry a line like that, Couture could not

Can't rn sorry. I'm teaching grown men a defensive system they won't use and begging my boss to get me defenseman that know how to play defense. Our best guy defensively keeps asking if I wanna be in his "vlog" and I don't know what that means.

Yeah I would maybe do it as a 1 game experiment. If that 1st line can absolutely dominate, and the wingers on the 2nd line can step up and at least create some good scoring chances, it might serve us better than splitting up our best players for the sake of balance.
