I know every one in Buffalo is crazy that Adams added Hall and Staal, but any one who follows hockey knows what really happened.
Guerin tried to improve the locker room and added Johansson who has a reputation as a team player.
Hall apparently wanted to play for Krueger.
While he did great to get Peterka, I have no idea why he passed on Rossi for Quinn.
But it would be amazing to have them together for ten year.
I also hated his UFA's signings.
Eakin and Girgensons means Buffalo has a $10,450,000 fourth line.
I guess with Neal on the fourth line your Oilers have the same issue.
There were much better players available than Irwin and Davidson at the same price.
Pouliot and Pysyk are true NHL defensemen, Matt and Brandon are average AHL defensemen.
Holland also managed to snag Koekkoek who will give Russell a run for the bottom pairing IMO.

Over all Holland did a great job with Kahun, Koekkoek, Turris, and Ennis three forwards who could easily be top 6 and a solid 6th defensemen for ($4,475,000) about what Adams got Girgensons and Eakin for ($4,450,000) who are bottom 3 forwards.
Then added Forsberg, and Barrie while bringing back Puljujarvi, I have him at the top of my manager of the year list.

Your Oilers will give Toronto a run for the top spot easily IMO.
Matthews and Tavares are good, but McDavid and Draisaitl are better.

Koskinen is at least as good as Anderson.

Nurse, Bear, Larsson, Barrie and Jones are at least as good as Holl, Muzzin, Rielly and Dermott.

I made a Sabre team using all of Holland's UFAs, then traded Irwin and Davidson for Pouliot and Pysyk.
Four good lines with solid centers.
Oh well, it will just be another season for me to suffer.
