I think it will be a lot like last year without all the expectations of PK and Hall returning to form. Below a .500 win percentage, hopefully some big development from Hughes/ young players, but big sellers at the deadline (Gusev, Murray, Kulikov, Palmieri/ Zajac (if Palmieri doesn't want to resign/ Zajac wants a chance at a cup))

I can see Palmieri resigning but if the Devils are out of the playoffs by the TDL again, I cannot really blame him for wanting to move on. Murray is tough becuase he has only played 82 games in 1 of 7 seasons, I see Murray and Kulikov as stop-gaps for this year until Smith/ Bahl/ Mukhamadullin/ White or somebody shows they are ready for the NHL.

I think Smith can make it in the NHL and maybe Bahl too (with the expanded rosters)

I would like to see Smith and Bahl start the year in the AHL, after last years mess up of Boqvist's rookie season. I would rather see the younger players getting regular playing time in the AHL then in and out of the press box for 8-12 minutes a night in the bottom pairings. Unless of course anyone is on fire during camp.

Agreed. What do you think on Merkley, Bastain, McLeod, Kuokkanen, and Boqvist? Should the Devils play them in the NHL

With the Devils only having 9 NHL forwards now (with Bratt unsigned) I gotta think Everybody is gonna get a chance. The only one I am going to guess is going to make the starting lineup is Bastian because of his size ( and the lack of size in the lineup) and he is a righty.

I hope the Devils sign somebody though for the bottom 6 so it's not just mostly rookies playing in the bottom 6
