- IMO for this team to win another cup they will need McMichael to come in and play a prominent role. I would rotate him between the 2nd and 3rd line, giving him top 6 minutes to putting him with Backstrom periodically.
- I have seen a lot of talk around trading Jensen and or Panik, while I believe this is an option I would hold off and let things play as the demand for either player is at an all time low but will likely change significantly as the season goes on. We also need to see what the league is doing to do around extra players and Cap room due to Covid.
- Stop talking about trading Kuzy. It would be a horrible move right now as the team will not be able to get anything close to equal value. I understand he is inconsistent. This team is trying to win a cup now and to do that they are better off with a a guy who has top10 player in the league talent but is inconsistent then some average top 6 player who is consistent. Having him gives them a chance, not having him gives them zero shot.
- if they are going to unload Kuzy or Orlov the time to do it is in a couple seasons at the trade deadline when the window has closed and another team is desperate to win and will give up 1st round picks.
