Would Hall accept that contract? Feels like a steal to me.

He's not worth more than $7M. He had 50 points with Eichel. I can't see Olofsson and Hall being taken off Eichel's line for next year so the pay raise will be diminutive.

Half the teams in the NHL, if not much more will lose money this year. Who do you see as having the money for a long term deal?

This allows him another crack at UFA when the financial situation stabilizes.

He will still be an RFA and this allows him a chance at UFA at 29 years old. The league financial situation is paralyzed. Where do you think, as an RFA, he gets that contract?

He was on a 59 point pace before the season ended due to a global pandemic. He had 65 points the season before. His stats are incredibly similar to Nylander for his career.

I'd love it, just think COVID-19 impacts will subside for the most part in 2021. Not entirely but enough for him not to take another sweetheart deal. Maybe just being pessimistic but I don't know.

His advanced statistics aren't quite the same but who looks at that anyway. Nylander didn't even get $7M so I think that gives my argument the benefit of the doubt no?

Hall hasn't won a day in his life, if the sabres got to the playoffs and him and Eichel are vibin I could see him doing a couple short term deals, hopefully Dahlin signs under 10 for 8 as well🤞🏼😬

Unless He goes off with Staal, which would be great for this season bad long term.

most of the teams will not have fans for atleast half the season and it is unlikely a full season is played. i think the cap will be flat, or barely raised for atleast another year.

Dont forget the NHL and the NHLPA are currently unable to come to an agreement on money for a season that is supposed to start in a few weeks.
