Holl is not a "defensive guy". He is a guy who played pretty well with Muzzin because they complement each other, but did not look good with anyone else because he is not very good. If Dermott or Lehtonen manage to grab the spot with Muzzin, I think it is extremely likely that Holl is scratched. The Leafs' brought Bogo in because they need another presence on D. Holl is the anti-presence.

Not saying he’s a defensive stud or anything but he’s definitely a more defensive player compared to Dermott/Lehtonen. I’d also prefer having Holl scratched but based on the fact that he’s making 2 mil for 3 years I’ll believe it when I see it

I haven't watched Lehtonen play so no comment there, but I have watched Holl play for years on the Marlies and now for years on the Leafs'. I would not consider him to be a more defensive player than Dermott (the complete opposite) and have never seen a coach even trust him much in a defensive roll before he was put with Muzzin this year. So you are free to make that claim, and maybe you will turn out to be correct, but I think that any pairing that expects Holl to be the defensive guy is going to get killed out there.
