How does this look?
You need to extend Marincin a year and for him to play 40 games in order to meet the minimum requirements for the expansion draft so that's why I have him in over Sandin.
Plus Dermott and Sandin both play the left side so Sandin will have to stay on the taxi squad for a while unless someone gets injured or at least until after Marincin hits 40 games. It'll be just like he started the year in the minors (or maybe there will be a minor league season mind you) and he comes up for 42 games to end the year. You could sprinkle them in over the course of the season which I imagine might happen if this scenario comes to reality and keep a rotation going but I don't really see this as a year to experiment with positions. That what the minors are for.
Agostino plays 40 as well and you sign him to a 1-year extension to meet the aforementioned requirements. Barbanov comes in to replace Agostino in the same sort of call-up capacity as Sandin.
This leaves you with a few options depending on if you want to go 7/3/1 or 8/1 for the expansion draft:
8/1 = Matthews, Tavares, Marner, Nylander, Rielly, Muzzin, Brodie, Dermott, Anderson
or if Galchenyuk plays lights out and/or Dermott takes a step back you can go
7/3/1 = Matthews, Tavares, Marner, Nylander, Galchenyuk, Kerfoot, ???, Rielly, Muzzin, Brodie, Andersen
