      No they can't only Winnipeg can sign him for 8 years any other team 7 years. It would've to be a sign and trade Winnipeg gives Trouba 8 years for say $5.5 million per and then a team gives Cheveldayoff what he's seeking.

      Obviously because Ennis doesn't get you Trouba and McCabe doesn't get you Lindholm.

      He's a RFA not a UFA. Trading his rights is what the trade is. Resulting in the team receiving him owning his rights. Resulting in them being able to sign him for 8 years. I'm starting to see why everyone doesn't like you boss
