All these are possible except the Hertl trade imo. No way the value is there for the sharks to trade him for Van Riemsdyk, McNeill, Knott and a 5th. Plus, it's important to realize that the sharks are an aging team. Thus it would be wise to keep him, especially when he has room to improve.
On a side not, I think the plan you present (blowing up the roster for cap players) is the way to go. There Cap is a killing them, and with their cap the way it is now I don't see that they will be Championship contenders... Not compared to the Pens, Sharks, Ducks, Caps and rising Oilers & Leafs.

So the Hawks now have $7+million in cap space but don't use it? The Chicago Blackhawks are not a budget team.
None of the trades made here are necessary except the Seabrook trade. Seabrook should have never been signed to the deal he has.
