I think everyone will be surprised when the young guys being given the chance answer the call. Are they all super stars? No. If these guys play up to their potential can they make the playoffs? Maybe, it’s a long shot but maybe. Will they be better than last year? Probably.

Going from 2nd last to a team that could if they play up to their potential and are coached well could make a run for a playoff spot. Will they get in not likely but 10th worst is an improvement. Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Yeah but where are they then? no Brannstrom, no Batherson, no Norris. Signing Athanasiou is a waste of a roster spot imo.

Gotta protect them from possibly getting selected in the Seattle expansion draft. Athanasiou has good offensive talent but needs to become a two way player and he doesn’t have a lot of options to show that elsewhere which should make him hungry. If he doesn’t pan out at least he kept a young guy from the expansion draft hopefully. Or if he does do well he could be the expansion draft sacrificial lamb.
