Description

Yzerman keeps saying he needs RH forwards. Trade for Johnson, and sign Bobby Ryan on a "prove it/tradable" contract, could do the same for Kovalchuk. Any of these guys we could eat salary and acquire deadline picks

Big signing in Krug, but he would help develop our young D and Forwards (by making a damn outlet pass!) This would give the rebuild some positive vibes (akin to the Tigers signing Pudge to kick off their rebuild years ago).

In goal Markstrom would be ideal since the Wings don't have a single goalie prospect, but a vet on a short term deal seems more likely.

Bobby ryan doesnt need a prove it contract we all know what he is. Hed be a good piece on a 3rd line for a contender. Hes a waste here. Id rather resign Jimmy Howard than Cory Schneider. Dude is cooked. I get the johnson trade but the dude scares me. It's a long contract.

- Schneider is cooked. No thanks.
- I hate the idea of signing Krug for ANYTHING past 5 years as the back end of that deal is going to become a massive boat anchor.
- I'd be good with the TJ trade.
- Both Mantha and Bertuzzin will cost more than that

I'm not a Bobby Ryan fan, but Yzerman has been saying for weeks he wants to add another RH shot, and when I searched for RH forwards he seemed to be about the only fit. Glad they got him for a 1,000,000, I thought he would ask the Wings for more. I watched every game last year, this team was beyond terrible lol
