If you mean the rangers its because all the rumors involving him getting traded have been to New York, Though its been confirmed he doesn't want to be traded.

care to elaborate why? i know hes not getting traded but i think this is a lot better than most Eichel trades i see on this board. Sabres get a good centerman who had almost the same amount of points as eichel this year in less games played, a starting goaltender, some forward depth in Buchnevich, a prospect as well as another first round pick.

The players aren’t garbage. There’s good players in there. The offer is garbage. A 27yo centerman is the centerpiece of this package. It’s also void of the Rangers top prospect or even top draft pick. For a team that doesn’t have to trade Eichel and has no intention of doing so, this offer wouldn’t make them think about it. It’s about quality, not quantity. Too much fat in there. Needs more meat on the bones.
