no look at all my posts they're all rangers teams. were losing whatever trade we make to get rid of lundqvist we have no leverage in the situation. best case scenario is a team takes a trade with no retained salary where we send a first or a prospect and get back a 6th or 7th and they buy him out. basically an orpik situation.

if the rangers were contenders for the cup i might be on the trade hank with a 1st to clear the 8.5. with the team we have now and the countless amount of players under 22. trading away futures for now isn't the move i'd make. 1 more crappy season is all we need. staal, smith and hank will be off the books. we can wait 1 more year. we all been waiting since 1994

i think its in our best interest to play georgiev and shesterkin this season especially with the expansion draft georgiev will be very enticing for seattle he's a young goalie with a good upside. i feel like huska will be a reliable backup or if we have to its not hard to find a backup on the free agent market. best case scenario for hank if he stays is he stays a healthy scratch for most of the season or we just bury him in the minors. he doesnt have a spot on the active roster. and idt the rangers want to lose a young player in the expansion draft.

the reasoning makes me want to trade georgiev more. i think buying hank out is dumb but it's not going to hurt the rangers short or long term. i would trade georgiev and let hank play out hislast year.

last time we got rid of the backup and kept lundqvist it didnt go well. can't make the same mistake twice.
