Oh I'm not saying they don't hold any value. I'm just saying they're the wrong players for who we should be targeting. On a team full of youth that needs veteran leadership, this would be a perfect trade. But unfortunately our core is so old with Zucc, Spurgeon, Suter, Parise, Dubnyk, and now Johansson (turning 30 soon). That adding these two would give us 8 30+ year old players. Plus I don't know if this trade makes us contenders anyways, but even if it did...it would probably be for one more season and then regression would substantially kick in with at least one to two of these guys. So our window of opportunity would be 1 season...then back to mediocrity. I hope that clarifies why I say no?
