Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

I don't care what anyone says, the Oilers were a playoff team this year. So were the Penguins and the Leafs. The NHL should've followed the NBA's re-start season plan of allowing season games. This way, even if the 4th seeded team lost a couple games, it wouldn't impact their entire playoffs.

A real thing is the Oilers could not make any trades and keep the same roster and still be a playoff team next year. To get over the hump however, we need to add some puck moving to the defence.

2020 3rd round pick for James Neal

Chiasson knows how to score and is best suited for a team ready to win now. Could be Boston, Tampa, Washington etc. I see Puljujarvi, Yamamoto, Archibald, and Kassian as better skaters than him and that's what the Oilers ultimately need.

Still a serviceable defenceman. A 4/5 on a good team which he was on Edmonton. The problem is he makes to much on the Cap. The real money owing is 1.5M before signing bonus so I can see the Oilers paying his bonus and dumping him to a cap team like Ottawa, Minnesotta, or Anaheim. Again, cap teams like this because they'll reach the cap floor without actually paying real money.

Good on a young team developing young defenders. Only catch is he has 15 team NTC but who knows, he might want to stay in Canada if possible.

Best you'll get from a Toronto is Andreas Johnsson for Larsson. & Edmonton still likely adds a pick or prospect in the deal. Leafs aren't giving up cap space and valuable picks for a 3rd pairing d-man on an expiring contract

Secondly: Bruins dont need another bottom 6 guy
third: Chaisson isnt worth a 3rd, maybe a 4th, but not for the bruins
