The comparables put him anywhere from 6M-7M. Am very curious what Gaudreau signs for. Should have a direct impact on Panarin's negotiations.

I am guessing Panarin will be $7+ if he has anywhere near the year he did last year.

You missed who you lose to expansion in this but I figure TVR might be the guy.

I think Marchand's extension threw a wrinkle into a few agent's plans. Not just Panarin, but Kuch and Gaudreau as well. BM is a proven player that plays GREAT defense and had 60+ points for $6.125M a year for 8 years. Makes me think we found Panarin's ceiling.......

I was assuming him or Pokka would go, so I left Pokka out. It's being reported today that Panarin is seeking 6x6m, so I used that.

I just put this together based on the reports that Panarin wants 6x6m that came out today.

If the 6x6m is really what Panarin wants, we need to lock that down ASAP.

I was thinking the same thing when Marchand's friendly deal came out yesterday. He also would have been UFA and presumably got a lot more on the open market. Another comparable might be Saad's. 6x6 would be beautiful in light of what has been lost in recent times.

I want to see no part of Hartman. Extremely undisciplined player who will get in Q's doghouse after game 1.
