Don't think the Kings go for that. They'd be happy to be rid of Carter's contract if someone was interested, but if they're not gaining a roster spot or clearing some salary they'll just keep him for the locker room presence. He's a leader on this team and has expressed his desired to stay.

As a Pens fan, I don't want anything to do with Carter, seems like a terrible move from both sides. If Armchair GMs dont get rid of Jack Johnson, there's no point in doing them because this team is going nowhere with him in a jersey regularly.

The Carter trade is creative but don't really see why Horny would waive for that on a hockey level. Could work if he just wants to live out that contract in LA tho
