I think the Canes will have to deal one of their better, young Dmen because of the expansion draft. WOuld rather not lose one for nothing. Fleury proved his value this post-season, so I think Bean may be the guy to go. What do you think would be fair value for Bean?

Yeah.....except it's not.

Bean (defense) put up better points in the AHL than Palmu (Winger) put up in Liiga

And while I wouldn't mind have Virtanen.......that cost is not close.

The expansion is a big concern.....Assuming the the roster is the same we *should* be able to go 4d 4 forwards

Protect: Aho, Svech, Tero, Trochek. Hamilton, Slavin, Pesce, Bean.

Yeah, we will lose one of Nino, Foegle, Fleury, or Skjei

But honestly this is more stomach-able than loosing Bean.

Bean's Ceiling far exceeds Skjei or Fleury.

Ideally we would lose Skjei or Nino (prefer Nino) because of cap space with Svech and Hamilton need extensions.....but this situation is still workable

I like that deal for the Avs. Pearson isnt really the established top 6 guy they may be looking for, but at that price hed be a solid addition to the top 9 to sub in for a guy like Jost

Yes. under the assumption we moved Dzingel and used his cap# to sign Virtanen. (also assuming Virtanen would sign for 3mil ish and not want something like 5mil.)

you could keep Palmu

I'd do Virtanen and a 4th for Fleury everyday of the week. Virt likely gonna cost you 3.5M.
