Description

Anaheim Trade - I realize Anaheim fans want to lose Lindholm as much as Jets fans want to see Trouba moved, but with the defensive prospects Anaheim has, they would have to consider a package that makes them stronger up front. Stafford gives them a top 6 winger to help immediately. Connor and Burmistrov are both cost effective options to bolster their offense and Connor would project to be a top line player for them in the future. Jets get the best player today in Lindholm and take on Stoner's salary to provide cap relief for resigning Rakell.

Edmonton Trade -Seems like the going rate in other trades around the league. Edmonton improves because a top 4 defence carries more value for them than a top 9 forward. Jets improve because with Lindholm in the line-up, Myers would fall to third pairing and a top 9 forward would be more valuable to them.

Vancouver trade - Optimistic to believe that anyone would take Pavelec so I threw in Tanev to join his brother.

also why in the hell would you give up Tanev? Kids got so much potential and just to get rid of Pav's contract for 1 year isn't worth it! Also in this scenario we get fucked by expansion draft because the protects would be:
Buff, Trouba, Enstrom Lindholm, Wheeler, Scheifele, Perrault, plus one of RNH/Little/Dano/Armia/Petan depending what you value most likely loosing RNH or Little.

I would protect both Little and RNH and expose Perreault. At $4.125M and four years remaining, it isn't a sure thing that Vegas would take him over a prospect like Dano, Armia or Petan. All this assuming that the Jets don't extricate themselves from the last year of Enstrom's contract. and protect 3 D-men.

I like the trades for all three teams. The resulting defence pairings look great. Not sure on Stoner but if that is who the jets have to absorb to get Lindholn, so be it. I wonder how the chemistry would be with Laine-RNH-Little as the second line and drop Perreault to 3C. Last time Little played RW, he scored 30.

Mentioned Nuge for Myers/Trouba this entire summer and the same response i got back was "WPG doesn't need more centers!"

What changed? Nuge reminded people with a couple good games at the WCH that he's actually a good player? Who would of thought?

Only thing that changed in this post is the Jets work a major deal to get a LHD without giving up Myers or Trouba. Their #1 need is still a top 4 LHD. Myers on a third pairing would be wasteful.
