Hagel paired up with Mcdavid in my eyes is very good, Hagel played great in the Ahl and Whl
Pronman ranked him the 21st prospect in the Blackhawks system last year... he then went on to post 0.50 P/GP in the AHL. If you think that's what Holland is looking for as a winger for McDavid, I don't know what to tell you.
Here's an excerpt from Pronman:
"Hagel was a former Buffalo prospect who went unsigned, was then signed by Chicago and became a top player in the WHL as an overage player. It’s easy at times to see why he went unsigned. He skates fine but is not a blazer. He has skill but he’s not going to be a primary driver in the pros."
All I see is a big bag of MEH. Every team has better prospects, nobody is giving up prime-age NHL goal scorers for a guy like this.
