Description
The only reason Vancouver would trade Boeser is to create some cap space, so offering up a proven scoring winger in Labanc to take his place at a lower cap hit could be exactly what they need. Combine that with a World Juniors prospect in Chmelevski and a couple picks and it would be a solid return. As well, signing Simmonds, Clifford, and Maroon could create a much more physical team, and bringing back Greiss could solve to goaltending problem.

What is it exactly that you think Vancouver is looking for? They can’t take anyone with a serious cap, especially with Hughes and Petterson needing contracts soon. They’re trying to win now so just picks aren’t the answer either. Labanc is a 40/50 point scoring winger to take his place at a lower cost, and a quality prospect in Chmelevski could help them as soon as next year.

If they take back a contract of any size in a package trade for Boeser it'll be for a top 4 Dman. They desperately need to upgrade their blueline. If the return is just futures I'm guessing it's because they're going to re-sign Toffoli to replace BB.

If Vancouver were to trade Brock even though they won't, they would want to get a youngish RD on a decent contract in return

I'm thinking that if Boeser is traded, deadweight contracts (Eriksson, Beagle + Sutter), etc. have to be going with him.
