I think Berge wants Zuks at centre and Drouin is capable of playing RW. Thompson apparently is an amazing locker room guy. I want Evans in the lineup but I'd rather take out Byron and trade him than Thompson

I doubt CJ will put Drouin on RW again, unless we have a bunch of injuries. He just looked too awkward there and he didn’t get any results. Most likely he switches with Kovalchuk, which might help in that we can try out the Drouin - Kotkaniemi - Armia line that worked out fairly well at the start of last season.

I personally believe the habs would rather have Evans play the majority of the games as the 4C, so I don’t think they’ll bring Thompson back. And I don’t love the Domi contract for the habs. The AAV is fine, but you’re just allowing him to become a UFA at age 28, at the same time that we need to sign Ylönen, Romanov, (and maybe Caufield). I’d rather either do a 1 year deal, or go 5-6 years.

Everything else looks good.

I really don't think Domi takes a one year deal and think it would be dumb to give him 5-6 rn considering he had one really good year and hasn't shown the same consistency now.

Well he might be forced to sign a 1 year contract if what you think is true, because I can’t see the habs going with a 3 year deal at all.

Fair enough. I think he will have to have a strong playoff performance to deserve a 5-6 year deal

Personally, I would take the guess. I would give him 5,5-6 m$*6. He is gritty and will produce with good linemates. I think he will go back to 60-65pts, which 5,5-6m$\year is not much. It is the type of contract that helps the team get better . I don’t want another Subban fiasco (for exemple). Subban got a much bigger contract because of the show me contract. We could say the same about Danault. I would have inked him for 6 years 4-4,5m$/year. Imagine that contract now...steal
