Johanson's never lived up to his 70 point season in CBJ at 21 but at 27 he's still a 6'3 218 pound forward who can skate while putting up 10-15 goals a year and 50-60 points on average.

That gives us support we need with Danault averaging 35-45 points lets say in a 3rd line capacity and allows Domi to Run Wild on 2nd line Center. Danault and RJ are both capable of large volumes of faceoffs 53-55% win rate while Domi's increased from 43% to 49% win rate from year 1-2 .

If all 3 Centers perform as expected we're looking at 1st and 3rd line creating the room for our 2nd line lead by Domi to catch teams off guard with match ups utilizing our speed and size.

This whole End Game is to have MTL a Playoff team by 2021-22 as well as Create The Opportunity for Suzuki to push out Danault for his job at Center . IF and i mean IF Suzuki performs well leading 2nd PP and 2nd PK both then at the TDL MTL trades Danault giving Suzuki the #3 Center spot (similar to how Danault replaced Desharnais)

I'd give Suzuki the Center outright but this is about making the best and deepest teams.Suzuki's an insurance player not the Savior which in the end is best for him to as we seen what pressure in MTL did to Galchenyuk.

Only Trading Picks because i like the Prospects we have Developing here.
So many quality players that even if half fail we have enough for a decent line up.(Suzuki,Poehling ,Caufield,Romanov,Primeau and Kotkanemi are all future Core who will stay )



Talbot i got because his best numbers come with a light workload.
He's a capable tandem Goalie but no true starter which is perfect for MTL who's looking for a steady back up goaltender.

Kovalchuk and Thompson i brought back because they were great influences on our young guys from Domi to Suzuki which i place value in . They most importantly hauled their own weight and provided enough size to be Deterrents

The trades i feel are explained well enough.


Overall the goal is to compete today without screwing the core for tomorrow.
As those named above integrate in a Danault , Tatar or Armia might lose their spots depending on the level of success.

but that Team right there has enough Skill,Size and Speed to make it into a playoff run.
We're missing a big fighter but Chiarot will always answer the bell when needed.
Price has the support he needs and MTL has Kotkanemi ,Ylonen and Hillis in Laval training
