Won’t be easy icing three lines and 5 D every night. But at least you’ve got Matthews.

If you ask me, I think the next Arizona equivalent is going to be Honolulu Sunburns.

In all seriousness, I believe they'll be migrating to Canada if something.

This team won't survive that Pandemic, they'll be the Nordiques by 2022.

1967! Nothing for him in Toronto! Leafs are all talk and no action! You’ll never win a cup!

That's a silly argument on why he would sign with Arizona. Expand you mind, there is less reason for Matthews to sign in Arizona than about 25 other NHL teams.
Do you truly think Matthews is signing with Arizona? Really?

What makes you think Toronto will win a cup? He’ll have to be interested in coming home at that point. The continuity of losing in Toronto especially after the Tavares situation it’s like karma lol. Tavares will be your 1C at 33. There’s definitely smoke and this team is close to contending and If we sign Matthews we’ll be a cup contender. Toronto hasn’t won idc what anyone says.

I don't know why you make this stuff up. I never said anything about the Leafs winning the Cup. The discussion was about Matthews next destination. I just said his most likely spot is a big USA market. I just disagree the small minded who thinks he HAS to sign with Arizona. Again just my opinion that he will no interest in playing in to small crowds, with a an average team, the worse travel schedule in the league when Arizona moves to the Central division and in small North American sports market.,

As I said, a big USA market, not a backwater NHL franchise. This "hometown" really has little meaning.
I would guess Rangers, LA, Chicago, Boston, Tampa, Vegas, Detroit, Philadelphia would be choices. Even Dallas, San Jose, Seattle, Now it would depend on how these teams can fit Matthews into their cap without taking away many pieces from their rosters.
Gee, the Coyotes can't even sell out for Matthews one appearance per year when the Leafs are in town. And even at that, the fans are Canadian snowbirds cheering for the Leafs. Arizona just doesn't have the big stage that IMO Matthews wants.
But I'm willing to entertain any ideas why Arizona would be a preferred destination for Matthews.
