Flames didnt move Valimaki for Stone they wont move him for Buch. I really like Buch but Valimaki is CGYs successor to Gio.

I think if we are trading with Minnesota, it might be more realistic to target Brodin because as we already heard from the Calgary contingent, Valimaki is nearly untouchable. Maybe there is a deal to be made around Brodin and Strome that allows us to keep Buch and also save some money for a guy like Haula (who is probably going to get a million more than that)

Love to bring back Fast at a reasonable price. He’s always reliable to move anywhere in the lineup as we saw again this year

As a Rangers fan this was my stretch wish list with Valimaki. I know he’s got a slim chance to move. My justification on the Calgary post is coming off season long injury and still behind Hanafin and Gio for two years Bennett just needs a change of scenery and Buch would sure up that top 6. Not happening but fun to play out

I like Brodin as a player but gong like that we’d have him in the final year of his deal. Already going to be Trouba and Deangelo big money and Fox will be heading there too. I’d like to get someone back with some contract control. Might have the space go just sign a vet dman and a lower priced center if Strome is moved.

Seems fair to move a guy who is one year from free agency for another...I suppose getting the best deal is the goal though
