Reinhart is 11 years younger than Getzlaf and will be a great 60-70 point 2-way center, and when Getzlaf only averages about 20 goals a year and Reinhart gets 23 goals while missing 3 games on a crappy team for the first half of the season, then that says something, I took Getzlaf as a favor to Anaheim because he still has 5 years left on his contract. Anaheim doesn't need Lindholm so it's not like they'll be missing him too much, and with how good Anaheim has been recently they're 1st and 2nd round picks are like #25 and #55 so those picks aren't that valuable. All in all I think it is a fair trade.

Yeah I'm sorry but the first comment and number of stars this idea received are justified.
    1. The ducks don't need Lindholm? He's their number one defenseman on the left side for the next 8 years. I wouldn't trade Lindholm for Reinhart straight up.
    2. Getzlaf is a proven number one center in the NHL, and captain. Compare his contract to Toews, Kopitar, Malkin. Yes, his contract is expensive, but it's still a discount to these players of relative quality (some better admittedly, but with 2m more in contract), and that's what you pay for someone of that caliber. Reinhart has tons of promise, I don't disagree. But what he's hoping to be is what Getzlaf is noW. Straight up, maybe I'd take it, but that's without your salary retention and picks. Ridiculous man, hahah

BOLD! Patrik Laine to Buffalo conversation would have to start with Jack Eichel bare minimum. -5

Took Getzlaf as a favor to Anaheim and they don't need Lindholm so I just threw in a top 4 dman as well .. This is hilarious !! I'm sure that's exactly how NHL GM's think.
oh wait .. Anaheim will also retain more then $2,000,000 per year because Buffalo is doing a big favor.
