Agreed. In 2018 The Rangers wanted to move from 26 to 22, and it cost them the 48th overall pick. Moving from outside the top 15 to inside the top ten will cost far more, and it's frankly not a price worth paying.

I think its more likely that we can grab a 1st round pick from NJ.

I also dont think that 33rd can move us up 8 picks into the top 10

You guys are right, MTL already has an insane amount of draft picks why would they trade down to get more picks? The organization wants Elite high end talent, you get that in the top 10. They don't need prospect depth they already have tons.

was just going by draft pick value chart, #33 is a real high pick and its a very deep 1st and 2nd plus it gives habs ammo for a big trade they are hunting
