Radulov isn’t waving for Columbus, not a big enough Russian area. Also Columbus isn’t moving Bjorkstrand.

Amazes me that so many people that have not nor will ever work in professional sports on a general manager level or higher really believe they know what a player or team would do.
Yall sitting here trying to rationalize values and stuff is one of the funniest things I've had the pleasure of being a part of this week.
I think I'm going to stick around here for awhile.
Thanks for laughs!

I like how yall lie too, lol.

"To be honest, no" said Bobrovsky when asked if there was a possibility of him staying in Columbus. "I felt that I needed a change. This is not only because of the friction with the club or the team, my heart just said that it was time to open new horizons."
-Bobs talking to a russian news outlet on why he wasnt staying.

Panarin didnt choose CBJ, Chicago did.
This summer, I said I'll take some time to think about the future, and, really, nothing's changed," he said. "I want to say I've really enjoyed every day here. It's been great here. These thoughts are really nothing that has to do with the organization specifically. I was welcomed here with open arms by pretty much everyone in the organization and fans. The fans love me, and I love the fans. I want people to understand that it's not often that a player has the opportunity to decide the future so I'm going to take the time to decide. A long-term contract is essentially a huge part of your life, so it's really important that we take the time to really decide what the right decision is.

I’m sorry. I don’t read Russian media. What I remember reading was the fact that there wasn’t a big enough Russian community in Columbus, which there probably isn’t.

Going back to the trade, I did more research I to the players being traded. Columbus really doesn’t want to move their leading goal scorer who’s played in less games then the guy in 2nd. And we really have no need for more wings or defenseman. If Radulov were to waive, which I doubt he would, no one wants to go to Columbus, he’s just another wing. Harly is a solid LHD prospect... he’d max out in Columbus as a bottom 4 defender, no way he’s better then Werenski on the left side. Tufte is meh and the 4th is meh. It’s an overpay from Dallas that fits 0 needs in Columbus for one of our untouchable players.

Also if I had to guess the 15 teams Radulov would waive for are NYR, NYI, Boston, LA, Anaheim, Florida, Tampa, Washington, Carolina, Detroit(Rich Russian heritage), Toronto, San Jose, Nashville, Philly, Pittsburgh. Maybe Columbus as the 15th over a Toronto but Toronto is a better team. Most cities are warmer and more likely to win vs Columbus, outside of Detroit where they have a high Russian heritage from the Russian 5.

Doubt Rads wants to go to a team that isnt at least a potential playoff contender. Also, in the team description I said I started from worst in the league and counted up. Hardly any player with a NMC waives to go to a lotto team.
Seems CBJ is in the midst of rebuilding their blue line with Savard being the oldest at 29. I think they'd take Harley for sure but, being a 3rd dman at best is bit of a stretch imo til you atleast see if hes better than any of the others. Werenski is bomb, no doubt.
If that was the case then why did Rads come here? Texas isnt russian heavy. Oh, that's because they follow the money, that's right.
